To impart academic excellence towards quality education in Commerce and related fields with a holistic view towards welfare of the students and society as a whole.

Mission

• To enlighten students with overall knowledge and guidance in order to help them to become worthy professionals and innovative leaders
• To impart holistic and value-based education to students which ultimately enhances their employability and overall development of their personality
• To develop social consciousness among students to become good responsible citizens
• To motivate students in every sphere of life in order to cope with challenges of the dynamic world.

Currently, the Department comprises of seven faculty members from fields of Commerce, Management, Economics, Mathematics and Computer Science. The department offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), both honours and general courses under University of Burdwan which encompasses a variety of subjects like Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Management, Taxation, Economics, Corporate and Business Laws, different disciplines of Management, Maths and Statistics, Computer Applications in Business, etc.
